Ariënne & Wali van der Zwan lead workshops all over Europe with a special focus on the former Eastern Bloc countries and of course their home country, the Netherlands.

Ariënne studied at art school before working as an occupational therapist and then as a bookbinder. Nowadays she dedicates all her professional time to the dances.

Wali worked for fifteen years in the theatre, after which he pursued a career as a journalist and writer on music, spirituality and religion. He has worked as a guitar teacher.

He has published pioneering volumes with Dutch translations of the Sufi poetry of Rumi and Hafiz and stories of Nasrudin as well as 'Show me the path', an introductory book on Sufism. He is the translator of the books of Neil Douglas-Klotz and, with Ariënne, represents his Aramaic work (e.g. the Aramaic Lord's Prayer) for the Dutch speaking countries. He serves the International Network of the Dances of Universal Peace as World Wide Networker and as chairman of the International Core Council.


Ariënne & Wali are both senior mentors of the Mentor Teachers Guild of the Dances of Universal Peace (MTG). They live in the Belgian Ardennes and have two children.
